SVMN consists of a network of local volunteer managers, who meet monthly to build their skills. The PASSION ACTION IMPACT Campaign will give out 10,000 bracelets to recognize the volunteers of fifty-seven local agencies.
Michael Cullen, Executive Director of United Way, stated, “We are very grateful to Northridge Savings Credit Union for sponsoring this initiative to celebrate Sudbury volunteers. Engaging and mobilizing the community is one of United Way’s key strategies, and volunteers are certainly engaged!”
"As a Credit Union we are committed to giving back to our community. The volunteers giving back are the foundation of our society and should be recognized for all the great things they do. We are happy to be able to sponsor this initiative for a second year," said Nadine Sauter, Training and Development Officer of Northridge Savings Credit Union.
Barb Nott, a board member on both Volunteer Sudbury and United Way, added, “National Volunteer Week (NVW) pays tribute to the millions of Canadian volunteers who graciously donate their time and energy. This year’s 68th annual NVW is Canada’s largest celebration of volunteers, volunteerism, and civic participation.”
