We have expanded our territory and changed our name but our 100% local promise stays the same.

We wanted to share our recent news about expanding our UW territory to include the districts of Cochrane-Timiskaming! Our new name to reflect this regional transformation is United Way Centraide North East Ontario/ Nord-est de l'Ontario. This decision was made jointly to ensure a sustainable presence and achieve greater impact within this broader geographic. This regional transformation will not change United Way’s local commitment to ensure that money raised locally stays local.

Moving forward, three United Way's will be serving the residents and communities of Northern Ontario: United Way Thunder Bay serving the Northwest, United Way Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District serving North Central Ontario and United Way North East Ontario serving the North East including the districts of Cochrane, Greater Sudbury, Nipissing, Parry Sound, Sudbury-Manitoulin, and Timiskaming.
