This morning, Mr. Paul Lefebvre, Campaign Cabinet, Professional Sector Chair, proudly announces the wrap-up of the inaugural challenge between law firms and accounting firms in the City of Greater Sudbury.

In the hope of reaching the United Way’s goal of 12,000 donors, Mr. Paul Lefebvre (Weaver, Simmons) issued a challenge to law firms and accounting firms to raise as many dollars as possible with workplace campaigns. The firms achieving a 90% participation rate would be awarded a gold standard rating, along with special recognition through the local media.

We are pleased to announce that the following firms have achieved their 90% participation goal: Lacroix, Forest and Conroy, Trebb, Scott, Hurtubise.

A special thank you to the following firms for participating in the challenge: Weaver, Simmons, KPMG, Freelandt, Caldwell, Reilly, Collins, Barrow, Laberge, Venne & Partners.

The United Way of Sudbury is extremely grateful to Mr. Paul Lefebvre and to all the firms that participated in this challenge and who raised a total of $11,713 for the 2009 fundraising campaign.

Ce matin, M. Paul Lefebvre, Co-président de la Campagne 2009 et Responsable du secteur professionnel, annonce la fin du défi inaugural entre les cabinets d’avocats et les cabinets de comptables de la Ville du Grand Sudbury.

Dans le but d’augmenter la participation à la campagne de prélèvement de fonds à 12,000 donateurs, M. Paul Lefebvre (Weaver Simmons) avait lancé un défi aux cabinets de prélever autant que possible par le biais d’une campagne en milieu de travail. Les cabinets ayant atteints un standard ‘Or’ avec un taux de participation de 90% seraient reconnus par Centraide de Sudbury et District.

Nous sommes fiers d’annoncer que les cabinets suivants ont atteint leur but de participation de 90% : Lacroix, Forest et Conroy, Trebb, Scott & Hurtubise.

Nous aimerions également remercier les cabinets suivants d’avoir participés : Weaver Simmons, KPMG, Freelandt Caldwell Reilly, Collins Barrow, Laberge Venne & Partners.
